Listening to the new album from The Smile, I am enjoying it so far but I will admit that my immediate reaction after the first few tracks was “This sounds a lot like Radiohead, why didn’t they just call it Radiohead?”

Then it occurred to me that I am writing this on one of my four different blogs and if pressed, I could not really say what prompted me to post it on this blog and not one of the others. So maybe I got to cut these guys a break about having multiple outlets for their creative output.

Continuing to listen to the album, I am decreasingly sure how much it actually does sound like Radiohead. It could just be Thom Yorke’s voice that sounds the same. Either way, this album is interesting and I like it.
