I am about 2/3 of the way through Hereditary and unless things really turn around, I don’t get why people think this movie was so great. Toni Colette seems to think she is in a screwball comedy and Gabriel Byrne is acting like he can’t figure out what he is in this dumb movie. So far, I’m with him. The story is a mess and the whole thing is just way too try-hard.
