A feature that I wish Microsoft Teams had is the ability to easily move or convert a group chat into a channel on the Teams tab.

In general, I find Teams’ insistence on keeping Chat and Teams as two separate areas to be quite confusing and frustrating. It makes no sense to me and it seems like I am not the only one. People I work with tend to speak interchangeably about “Teams site” and “Teams channel” and “Teams chat,” and there is never any rhyme or reason to which term means what or when and how one should be used over another.

I tend to think it is probably related to back-end architectural constraints due the fact that the app is a weird conglomeration of Sharepoint and the old Skype For Business.
