Am I the only person who can’t really get into The Three Body Problem? I have started reading the book at least three times and tried the audiobook twice now and never made it further than about a hundred pages.

I like the idea of the book and find the historical and real-world parts of it to be pretty interesting, but as soon as I hit any of the sections where a character is in the game/simulation, it’s like walking through mud. I understand the purpose these sections are intended to serve, but I find them thuddingly dull.

I watched the teaser for the Netflix series when it came out the other day. It does look suitably epic, but then I feel like that’s how every trailer looks these days.
