What’s funny is that I remember going to the movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s when all these huge multiplex theaters were getting built. The satellite concession stands were great! You could go get your seats and then it was a really quick out-and-back to get some popcorn and soda, and the lines were a lot shorter.

Of course, that was also back when movie theaters were crowded.

Now these stands are always closed. I don’t think I have seen one of them open in at least ten years.
