However, I do know when I’ll be back again. I’m currently packing my bags for a week-long vacation in Oregon. While I am taking the laptop with me, I suspect access to the Intarwebs is going to be pretty scarce. In other words, there probably won’t be any new posts until at least the eighth of August.
In the meantime, here are some thoughts:
- Still nothing particularly interesting/outrageous about John Roberts.
- The new Battlestar Galactica is pretty damn good.
- It’s almost as though Google heard my wish last Saturday that I should be able to add RSS feeds to their personalized homepage. Check it out- www.google.com/ig
- New York just celebrated the second anniversary of its smoke-free workplace legislation.
- President Pataki? I don’t think so, but I bet he tries anyway. Jackass.
- Windows Server 2003… even better than Windows 2000
- The Wedding Crashers was pretty good, but not great. It should have been about 15 minutes shorter.
Reading materials for this vacation include Thomas Mann’s Buddenbrooks, the collection of Hendrick Hertzberg’s political columns from the New Yorker that came out last year, and Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson. I don’t know if I’ll get through all three (probably not), but I’ll try to provide an update upon my return.
Okay, I’m outta here. Have a good week, and I’ll see you in August.
