More good web radio

My friend Sara pointed me toward East Village Radio, a rather tiny station broadcasting from (unsurprisingly) the East Village in New York City. Actually, according to their website, they aren’t quite broadcasting yet—they’re working on getting a low-powered FM broadcasting license. In the meantime, they’ve got a decent-quality live webstream going.

The level of professionalism is amusingly low, the music is excellent, and it seems like a good cause to support. As I’m listening now, they’re playing a whole bunch of obscure Iggy Pop, and the DJ is talking about his attempts to quit smoking. Give them a listen, and send a few bucks their way if you can via the Paypal link on their site.
