I’ve started messing around with Zhenyi Tan’s Gibberish blogging platform, and it’s really neat.
The idea of using a messaging-like interface for blog post composition is cool; I think he’s onto something with this:
It’s a bit weird, but that’s the point. This UI tricks my brain into writing mode, just like when I write long messages to my friends.
I agree. I’ve only used it a bit so far, but it’s really easy to just dump out a bunch of paragraphs of stuff without getting too hung up on structure, and I think there is a real need for that sort of model. I also feel like it’s a perfect bridge between the old tweet-storm style of posting and classic blogging.
