AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! As is my habit, I checked the National Weather Service website for my local weather forecast this morning. Their forecasts are much more detailed than the crummy Weather Channel site, they’re more accurate, and I’m not subjected to incessant banner and pop-up advertising. Also, it’s nice to see a concrete example of my tax dollars being put to good use. So I go to the site this morning, and I notice a link near the top of the page for “proposed changes to the weather forecast icons.

Despite the fact that it is cold, windy, and raining where I live, I’m pretty excited that today is the first full day of Spring. I believe that makes today (or maybe it’s yesterday or tomorrow…) the vernal equinox. Not to be confused, of course, with either of the solstices.
