I am legitimately unsure of what to make of this new Smashing Pumpkins album:
While I really like Gish and Siamese Dream, and kind of like Mellon Collie, I had mostly written off the band in the intervening years. This decision was based on 1) I didn’t really like the various directions that the music seemed to be going, and 2) Billy Corgan seems increasingly like an obnoxious weirdo and a creep.
This new album, though… I was unable to form even a general initial opinion of it on my first listen, but I am not indifferent to it.
