I continue to be bored with (and mildly annoyed by) all the posting of AI-generated images, chats, emails, etc.
It is unsurprising to me that all of these AI things can spit out pictures and all sort of other works that look like they could have been made by humans. For the most part, most of us are not all that interesting or original; most of what we do is pretty easy to reproduce. I mean, there are probably hundreds of other people posting basically this same thing right now.
What is interesting to me about all of this discussion is one potential outcome, which is that we start thinking about and valuing our actual interaction with other people, rather than just the outcomes of those interactions, which are becoming increasingly easy to mass produce.
Sadly, that outcome seems unlikely, as it would probably require a fundamental reorganization of our society and economy.
