Having finished the book I was reading in Libby early, I figured I would be a good citizen and return it before it was due. Then I accidentally clicked Return Early on the next book on my shelf—Amor Towles’ The Lincoln Highway, a hold I had been waiting on for at least six weeks—and now I’ve got nothing to read.

Ebooks suck.

  1. @petebrown The universe is trying to tell you not to bother with the Towles. I haven’t read it myself but I seem to remember an unfavourable review.

  2. @artkavanagh I loved A Gentleman in Moscow, so I had high expectations for The Lincoln Highway. Boy was I disappointed. It held my attention though. Like one of those Jack Reacher novels that you can’t put down, but when you’re done you say to yourself, That wasn’t very good, was it?
