Good times at the tire shop

I’m sitting in my local tire shop, waiting for them to do my annual safety inspection. Another guy who is also here for an inspection is currently giving the person behind the counter grief because they need to see his registration before they can do the inspection.

“What if I don’t know were it is?” he asks.

“You’ll need to go to the RMV to get a new one,” the person behind the counter says. “Or you can do it online.”

“That’s so dumb,” the guy responds. “I guess I won’t do it, then.”

I don’t understand people who behave like this. It’s a state law—you have to get a safety inspection every year, and you have to have your registration to do it. Why are you hassling the person behind the counter about it? They’re just doing their job. Also, how do you not have a copy of your registration? Seems like your problem, guy—not the tire shop’s.

UPDATE: Now this same guy has brought in a banjo and has started playing it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
