Today is the first day of fall, and I am not sure where the summer went.
Presumably, the same thing will happen with the fall, and soon it will be winter. Winter will not pass quickly--it never does. I was reading somewhere recently that, the older one gets, the faster time seems to pass. That feels true to me, although the passage of time time during the pandemic seems like a special case that should not be used as evidence of anything. Things are better than they were last spring and summer but we still mostly try to get through our days, leaving me to find suddenly that a bunch have passed without me really noticing.
