Sunday morning listening – Godspeed You! Black Emperor

I first heard these guys when this album came out:

I heard about them somewhere and downloaded it from Napster or Morpheus or one of the other P2P services. I would like to say that I was immediately astounded by its brilliance, but I have to admit that I was utterly baffled by this album (and the band) when I first listened to it.

I have listened to this album and their other stuff on and off over the last twenty(!) years and appreciate it more and more every time.
