Having finally gotten through the Times’ big feature on the Trump crime family’s decades-long tax fraud, I wonder if the details of Trump’s obviously illegal financial schemes won’t get brushed off by a lot of people (or even seen as a good thing) saying “Oh, everyone cheats on their taxes.”

The bigger damage probably comes if the narrative takes hold and deflates his “Successful Billionaire” brand.
