The fact hat

Every time I type the phrase “the fact that” on my phone, autocorrect attempts to change it to “the fact hat.”

This phenomenon makes me think two things:

  1. The phrase “the fact that” is nearly always unnecessary and I should avoid using it. In most cases, it can be dropped entirely, or replaced by the word “that.”
  2. I need to get a hat with the word “FACT” across the front.
