This book was mostly entertaining, albeit in a rather pedestrian way. It could easily have been (and probably ought to have been) a graphic novel, or a book written to to be turned into a movie.
I don’t think the story would have been very interesting if told in a linear manner. I am immediately suspicious of any work of fiction that jumps back and forth in time. It always feels like the author is using this narrative trick to withhold information from the reader/viewer and artificially make the story more interesting.
