With a new job and the resulting new schedule, I have to switch from a mid-morning run to running first thing when I get up at 5a.
I don’t mind the time so much, as I am usually up that early anyway. Rather, I find my legs are super-stuff from having been in bed all night that it’s like running through cement for the first mile. It has knocked nearly a full minute off my average pace over the 4.5 miles I run.
